NFSP are again entering a men's team into the Broxbourne Summer Hockey League. The squad will consist of players from Bishop's Stortford, Cheshunt and GSK. The aim is to enter a competitive side in each match.

Team SelectionThe general aim will be to field the most competitive side possible, which will hopefully include avenues for personal player development -- i.e. opportunities to try out new positions, etc. We will also be aiming to include a healthy level of rotation through the side. The aim will be to distribute an email asking for availability 5 working days prior to a match, with the team sheet distributed 2 working days prior to a match. Where possible, we will try to carry a squad of 14, to allow for substitutions to take place throughout a match: the substitutions will consist of an attacking sub, a midfield sub and a defensive sub, where availability allows. UmpiresWe will aim to have two umpires per match, with one person umpiring one half. This will mean that the each chosen umpire will get to play 35mins. Umpiring duties will be rotated through the squad on a regular and fair basis -- everyone will get the opportunity to umpire at one point or another. We can also look into hiring an umpire per match. SubsSubs will be £5 per match. This is to make the maths a lot easier to manage, and also fund extra necessities: match balls, goalkeeping straps, etc. Any excess will go into a team kitty, for excursions to the bar (and/or hire a umpire).
